03:07 pm I've been having some weird dreams again lately.
In these, I'm a bride on the way to her wedding. An arranged marriage, actually.
In the first one, Kevin was one of the people making sure I got to the groom's castle safely. Well, it didn't turn out that way, 'cause we were attacked by this guy with white hair and a snake tattoo. Yeah, the one from my other dreams. He killed everyone except Kevin and me, and he cut up Kevin something awful while I ran to get some help. I ended up at a sort of a monastery, where there were people who looked a lot like Sebastian and Mickey and Aeryn. I wonder if they could be past-life versions of them?
Anyway, they came back to the battle site and got Kevin back to the monastery and patched up. Old White-Hair-Snake-Tattoo had vanished...not that I was complaining.
The next dream started out with a messenger named "Garrett" coming from the groom to make sure I was OK. We waited around a few days until Kevin could travel, then we started out to finish the trip. I got to talk to Garrett about how, well, shafted I felt, being married off to someone I'd never even seen, and he understood -- and was even sympathetic. I really thought that I'd rather marry him than the groom.
We stopped at an inn, and picked up someone who looked a lot like Mickey's friend Aya. Another past life version, I wonder? I'm going to have to ask Kevin about these dreams sometime soon....
At the next inn, I decided that I wasn't going to get married without having at least one fling, so I persuaded Garrett to sleep with me. We went out to the stable and he spread out his cloak for me to lie on. It was wonderful -- he was very sweet and gentle and he made me feel really wonderful afterward.
That was until Kevin came in to check on the horses and found us there. Man, was he steamed! He pulled me off Garrett, and threatened to cut Garrett's thing off...brrrr!
Things were looking pretty bad at that point, but luckily Sebastian was able to convince Kevin that it would be better to let me and Garrett have some fun than to have us run off somewhere. I can see why they say that satyrs are wise -- Sebby certainly is. ;)
So Garrett and I got to spend the night together. While we were getting ready for bed, he showed me something -- he had a ring with him in a pouch, a lion looking back over its shoulder, etched into a garnet, with some writing on it. "There's only one other one like this," he said to me. "It's on my father's finger." So it turns out that Garrett was actually the groom -- who'da thunk?
We started celebrating the honeymoon a little early, and that's when things got scary. I'm not sure how, but the guy with the snake tattoo got into our room, and tried to kill both of us! Garrett managed to keep him from doing that, but the other guy hit him over the head and then tried to come for me. He might have gotten me, too, if Kevin hadn't come in to check on me and started fighting with him.
The two of them fought their way out into the hall, where Sebby shot the guy with the tattoo with some arrows. As he sort of staggered back past the room, I stabbed him with Garrett's knife, and between that, the arrows, and Kevin's sword, he was done for...but he did do a number on Garrett and Kevin both.
I took care of Garrett, and Mickey and Sebastian patched Kevin's injuries up. Kevin wasn't too happy about the delay, but he seemed a little more relieved when he found out Garrett's secret.
And that's about when I woke up.... Current Mood: contemplative

09:54 am I got to talk to Gavin yesterday. I think I could really like him; he's very sweet and funny, and he has the most arresting green eyes. Very, very yummy.
There's only one problem -- he's apparently engaged to someone else already. That sucks.
He does want to break it off, but I'm not really sure what to think of that. I mean, I like him a whole lot, but should I be thinking about going out with him when he's supposed to marry somebody else?
I'm so confused. Current Mood: confused Current Music: Anime soundtrack from Mickey

09:43 pm Talked to Sebastian about how to talk to Gavin. He (Sebby, not Gavin) suggested he invite the two of us over for an evening (separately, of course). It could work.
Maybe it's because I've been lusting after him, but I had a dream about Gavin the other night. He was dressed in an outfit a lot like the one Prince Llew wore when I was Sained - it was made out of some sort of gorgeous claret-colored stuff, with a lion on the breast. He gave me a silver necklace; it was a heavy band kind of a thing, like I saw at the Renn Fest once. I think the lady at the jewelry stall called it a torc.
I'm not sure I believe in love at first sight, but there is something about Gavin. Maybe it's the hair - I've always been partial to redheads - or maybe it's something more. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Current Mood: thoughtful

06:16 pm I think I'm in love.
Or at least lust.
The other day, I was doing my laundry, when Aaron Frost from #12 stopped by, along with the skinny kid he seems to have adopted, and a really gorgeous redhead.
It turns out that our newcomer's name is Gavin, and he's looking for an apartment in the Villa. Maybe if I'm lucky, he'll move into #15...*grin*
Before I forget to mention it, Gavin's like me. Well, maybe not quite, because he doesn't go in for the monochromatic look the way Sir Kellin and Aeryn do. Then again, I've seen Keighvyn in more than just black and gray, so maybe Gavin could be family.... At any rate, I guess that we're sort of distant cousins, what with both of us being sidhe.
In other news, Claudia's been spending a lot of time hanging out with the archaeology major over in the other building. They're probably having a great time talking about old stuff. If it makes her happy, whatever.
Time to finish that paper for Western Civ.... Current Mood: happy
